With a background spanning executive recruitment, corporate development and financial services,Max has developed deep networks across Private Equity, insurance, asset management, fintech and wider financial markets. Before joining Evolution Capital, Max led the Strategy & Corporate Development practice at Dartmouth Partners, advising PE funds and their portfolio companies on building high-performing in-house M&A teams to support ambitious buy-and-build strategies. He previously specialised in Corporate Development and M&A hiring at Phipps Cameron Recruitment, where he partnered with groups such as JMG Group, Schroders, MAN Group, and Barclays.
James' proactive, insight-driven approach, which has earned him a reputation for understanding client objectives and aligning talent with long-term growth plans. At Evolution Capital, Max focuses on identifying high-potential businesses, nurturing relationships with founders, shareholders and investors, and supporting the firm's mission to deliver exceptional advisory outcomes across the IT, telecoms and managed services sectors.
